UnclaimMoney.org was created to help U.S. and Canadian citizens as well as residents find unclaimed money they may be owed by their state governments.
Millions of dollars go unclaimed each year from wills, deceased relatives, tax refunds and other abandonded property. Individual states don't have the resources to research and find each rightful owner, so the money just sits there waiting to be claimed. All states offer a searchable database of these properties, so we tried to compile an active list of these websites to help individuals claim their cash.
Although every effort has been made to keep these lists as accurate as possible, there is a chance that some of these links might be outdated or not working at times. In such a case you can do a simple search at your favorite search engine looking for Your-State-unclaimed-property or Your-State-Treasurer [ i.e. Nebraska unclaimed property or Delaware treasurer ] and you should be able to come up with the information you need.
